Have you wondered why Koreans say 맛있게 드세요 instead of 맛있다?
Attaching -게 to an adjective stem turns it into an adverb (*“-ly / in a ~ manner”*):
- 맛있다 (delicious) → 맛있게 (deliciously / enjoyably)
- 따뜻하다 (warm) → 따뜻하게 (warmly)
- 예쁘다 (pretty) → 예쁘게 (prettily / nicely)
- 재미있다 (fun) → 재미있게 (enjoyably / with fun)
Simply take the stem and add -게!
