As you saw, any noun that describes an activity can pair with 하다 to become a verb.
All of them turn into -해요 in polite speech. With just the tone of your voice or punctuation, you can make a statement, ask a question, or give an invitation!
요리 (cooking)요리하다 · 요리해요 · to cook
산책 (a walk)산책하다 · 산책해요 · to take a walk
쇼핑 (shopping)쇼핑하다 · 쇼핑해요 · to go shopping
이야기 (story / chat)이야기하다 · 이야기해요 · to talk / chat
시작 (beginning / start)시작하다 · 시작해요 · to start
Because these are all -하다 verbs, you don't need to check vowel harmony rules for them: every single one becomes -해요!
주말에 집에서 요리해요.I cook at home on the weekend. (Statement)
지금 공원에서 산책해요?Are you taking a walk in the park now? (Question)
우리 백화점에서 쇼핑해요!Let’s go shopping at the department store! (Invitation)
