  • Final-consonant sound (받침 소리) — A final consonant is said as one of seven sounds (ㄱ ㄴ ㄷ ㄹ ㅁ ㅂ ㅇ).
  • Tensing (경음화) — ㄱ ㄷ ㅂ ㅅ ㅈ after a ㄱ ㄷ ㅂ sound become tense (ㄲ ㄸ ㅃ ㅆ ㅉ).
